Seven human and natural creations serve as a reference in a territory steeped in history, art and tradition.

Talking about seven wonders allows us to understand how genius, the creation of man and nature itself were able to reach sublime levels that made it possible to fix these works in the imagination.  Les Costa Blanca residents have compiled their own list of artistic and cultural wonders, many of them preserved and restored to enjoy 'in situ' or documented and explained in famous museums._cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_Undoubtedly, there are as many marvels as there are people who have trodden these lands and as sublime landscapes created by nature, because the richness of a natural and historical heritage refined over the centuries and coming from the successive presence on the Alicante lands of Phoenicians, Greeks, Iberians and Romans. For example, a septet including: the red prawn of Dénia, the palm grove of Elche, the Moors and Christians festivals of Alcoy, the lagoons of La Mata and Torrevieja, the Peñón d'Ifach (the rock d'Ifach), Villena Castle and the Benidorm skyline.​

Natural parks

​Sierra de Mariola, Font Roja, Marjal Pego-Oliva, Peñón de Ifach, Sierra Helada, Montgó, La Mata and Torrevieja lagoons, Salinas de Santa Pola and El Fondo . These are the ten natural parks that dot the Costa Blanca from north to south, forming a unique and varied landscape with peculiarities that will surprise the visitor. One of them is the archaeological heritage, from cave paintings to numerous Iberian and Roman remains. The Costa Blanca is characterized by the great diversity of lithologies that appear throughout its territory, coming, in many cases, from steep orographies where the main rivers dig narrow gorges, this together with the marked Mediterranean climate that is accentuated by the northwest orientation. In the south of our province, generates a very high biodiversity with many habitats. This variety of habitats and their associated high biodiversity are perfectly represented in natural parks and nature reserves.

 

Active tourism

Inland, without however losing sight of the sea, the physiognomy of the landscape invites lovers of emotions to defy nature. The steep interior geography has configured a landscape allied to adventure sports. The pleasure of practicing sport thus joins the natural and cultural heritage of the province. Hiking, climbing, canyoning, bungee jumping, paragliding, hot air balloon flights are just some of the possibilities offered by the province in its interior and which will delight the most daring.

 

Aquatic activities

The 25 yacht clubs and marinas offer endless opportunities for windsurfing, sailing, diving or rowing.​ The beauty of the coastline and the warmth of the Mediterranean combine with lovers of nautical activities throughout the year. There are 25 nautical clubs and marinas, with more than 10,000 anchorages, which dot the coast.

 

Activities with children

Terra Mítica, Terra Natura, Safari Park, Aqualandia, Mundomar, Aquanatura or Aquopolis are some of the theme parks of an offer that includes museums such as Toy or Chocolate. Children first, although the province's children's entertainment transcends all age barriers for the enjoyment of the whole family. You can visit the many theme parks that are located throughout the territory. All this in addition to the great possibilities of the beaches, the vast majority of them equipped with swings and elements so that the little ones can play and have fun.
